Local 125 and its signatory contractor partners have invested over $4 million dollars in the Joint Apprenticeship Training Center in Cedar Rapids. Your first step is to come visit and check out the two large buildings, classrooms, the most up-to-date classrooms, labs and specialty training areas – possibly the best in America!!

Here’s how you apply:
Step 1. Call or come visit the Joint Apprenticeship Training Center, 5101 J Street SW in Cedar Rapids Iowa to apply (319-362-9259).
Step 2. If you would like more information about our five year apprenticeship program, just click here (need jump link to form…see below), fill out the online information request form and we’ll get right back to you.
Step3. Apply to become an apprentice by fulfilling these requirements:
1. $25.00 non-refundable (Cash or Credit) application fee.
2. Copy of your birth certificate
3. Copy or your high school diploma or GED certificate with scores.
4. Official copy of your high school transcript.
5. National Career Readiness Certificate, (at any Iowa Workforce Development office).
6. Copy of a valid driver’s license.
7. A DD214 form if you’ve served in the military.
You’ll also need to have information such as work history and names of supervisors to complete your application. All accepted applicants will be subject to a drug test as well.
